Healthy Betel leaves Rasam:
You need two different paste to be prepared.
First paste:
Ingredients:
Betel leaves - 3-4 medium size chopped
Garlic pods -5
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper corns - 10 no
Red chilli 🌶-1
Blend all the ingredients in a blender.
Second paste:
Ingredients:
Tomato 🍅 - 2 chopped
Green chilli - 1/4
Blend both the ingredients into a smooth paste.
Rasam tempering:
Ingredients:
Ghee 1 tbsp
Hing - a pinch
Tamarind paste
Pink salt
Water
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan and add the hing and first paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add the tomato paste and sauté for 3 minutes. Add tamarind paste, salt, red chilli powder and add water to adjust your consistency and let it boil.
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot
