INGREDIENTS
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Butter - 1 -2 tablespoon
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 70 grams
Bell pepper - 80 grams finely chopped
Cauliflower - 75 grams boiled
Green peas - 80 grams
Tomato puree - 400 grams
Boiled mashed potatoes - 175 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Kashmiri Red chili - 1 -2 teaspoon
Pav bhaji masala - 1 tablespoon
Tomato - for garnishing
Onions - for garnishing
Coriander - for garnishing
PREPARATION
1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a heavy skillet.
2. Add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.
3. Then, add 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 70 grams onions and fry till translucent.
4. Now, add 80 grams bell pepper, 75 grams boiled cauliflower, 80 grams green peas and mix it well.
5. Saute the veggies for 5 - 7 minutes.
6. Add 400 grams tomato puree and mix it well.
7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
8. Then, add 175 grams boiled mashed potatoes and mix it again.
9. Now, add salt, red chili, pav bhaji masala and mix it well.
10. Mash the vegetables with a masher into a smooth paste kind
13. Transfer the mixture into a heavy skillet and stir well.
14. Transfer the prepared bhaji in the fondue pot.
Garnish with onions and coriander and lemon wedges
Serve hot with pav pieces.
Tip: Make your bhaji a little spicy and add butter or cream to adjust your spice. This extra butter gives the flavour. Once in a while having extra butter is ok during the diet cheat days😀
