INGREDIENTS
FOR MATAR PASTE:
ā¢ 1Ā½ cup peas / matar, boiled / frozen
ā¢ handful coriander
ā¢ 1 inch ginger
ā¢ 2 green chilli
ā¢ 2 tbsp water
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
ā¢ 2 cup wheat flour / atta
ā¢ 1 tsp cumin / jeera
ā¢ Ā½ tsp garam masala
ā¢ Ā½ tsp aamchur / dry mango powder
ā¢ Ā½ tsp salt
ā¢ 2 tsp oil
ā¢ Ā¼ cup water
ā¢ oil for roasting
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a blender take 1Ā½ cup peas.
also add handful coriander, 1 inch ginger and 2 green chilli.
blend to smooth paste adding 2 tbsp water.
2. Prepare dough by taking 2 cup wheat flour in a large mixing bowl
3. Add 1 tsp cumin, Ā½ tsp garam masala, Ā½ tsp aamchur, Ā½ tsp salt and 2 tsp oil, mix well making sure all the spices are combined well, add in prepare peas paste.
4. Make a ball sized dough, roll and flatten it, also dust with some wheat flour.
5. Roll it in a thin circle like chapati or paratha, cook the peas paratha on hot tawa adding oil / ghee.
serve peas paratha / matar paratha with raita and pickle.
