The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC has published a report regarding the dangerous effects of climate change as faced by the world currently. NASA then analysed the report and went on to mention names of Indian cities that could go underwater by 2100. NASA's report said that top Indian cities, including Mumbai, could go underwater by 2100.
Mumbai
It is hard to fathom that the glitz and glamour of Mumbai would be cease to exist in the future. More than half of Mumbai is expected to go underwater by 2100. The city is set on the shore of the Arabian Sea, which offers a great travel opportunity.
Cochin
Kerala's enchanting city is also in the list, and it is being predicted that 2.32 feet of the city will be under water by 2100. Cochin is today a vibrant city with a lot to offer, not to mention its importance for the state of Kerala.
Bhavnagar
The city in Gujarat is yet another one in the list. In fact it is predicted that Bhavnagar will submerge 2.70 feet under water, which is the most among the cities listed by NASA. Bhavnagar was an old city that was established in 1724. It was the capital of the Bhavnagar Capital, which used to be a Princely State. A very important city that gives us a look into a different world, this too might be lost.
Vishakhapatnam
A coastal city in the state of Andhra Pradesh, commonly known as Vizag, it is predicted that the city will be 1.77 feet under water. The city today is a beautiful port destination that offers serene travel experience. It is clean, and its beachfronts are romantic.
Mangalore
A stunningly beautiful coastal town, this is located in the state of Karnataka. Mangalore is a world of slow travels. It is a offbeat destination with not much to do, but sometimes that is all we need. The city too is said to be in danger, with a prediction of 1.87 feet of water.
Chennai
A major city in Tamil Nadu, the most important in fact, Chennai too is facing the danger of going under water. NASA has predicted that the city will go under 1.87 feet of water. An artistic, and cultural destination.
