Red sauce

RED SAUCE :


Ingredients:

▢ 2 tbsp olive oil

▢ 2 clove garlic, finely chopped

▢ 1 onion, finely chopped

▢ 1 red bell pepper

▢ 3 big red tomato 🍅

▢ 1 tsp chilli flakes

▢ 1 bay leaf

▢ 1 tsp mixed herbs

▢ ¼ tsp pepper powder

▢ ½ tsp salt

▢ 2 tbsp tomato sauce


Method:


1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil. Add bay leaf, garlic 🧄, bell peppers , onions on a high flame just for 2 mins.

2. To the same pan, add ripe tomatoes and saute for 2 to 3 mins.

3. Tomatoes must turn soft. Add red chili flakes , mixed herbs,pepper & salt as needed and tomato sauce. Set this aside to cool.

4.When cooled, add them to a blender jar.

Blend to a smooth or coarse paste as per choice


Store in air tight containers and can refrigerated for more than a week


Tip: Cheese slices can be added while making pasta for kid’s for creamy texture
