Vanilla Rose Cake š°š
Ingredients:
1/2 cup + 2tbsp milk
A few drops of rose essence
1 cup of all purpose flour (Maida)
1/2 cup +2tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4tsp baking soda
4 tbsp butter
2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
Frosting:
1/2cup butter
1/2cup icing sugar
For garnish:
Chocolate chips
Method:
Take a bowl and add milk and few drops of rose essence. To that add seive all the dry ingredients that is maida, powdered sugar, baking powder and baking soda and 4 tbsp butter. Mix well. Add few drops of vinegar or lemon juice. Transfer the batter to a cake tin covered with butter paper so that it doesn't stick to the edges. Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes then bake the cake for about 25-30 minutes.
Once the cake is baked let it cool down to do the frosting.
For the frosting add 1/2 cup butter and whisk it well for 2-3 mins then add 1/2 cup icing sugar and mix it well. Now cut the cake into two equal halves horizontally. Add few drops of milk so that it turns moist and add the frosting and decorate it. You can garnish it with edible rose petals or chocolate chips.
